Please do the following activities:
1. Complete a newsreel sheet using the CBS news, located at www.cbsnews.com
2. Using the website http://www2.ed.gov/programs/racetothetop/index.html, review with your partner the race to the top program and make suggestions, with a paragraph explanation why it should reformed or changed in some way. You should identify at least 5 reforms that could be changed in some way.
3. Using the above website from the Department of Education, and the White House Page on the Race to the Top located Here: http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/fact-sheet-race-top with your partner compare and contrast the two pages. How are they different and how are they the same?
Both of these should be turned into the sub at the conclusion of the bell.
These should not be a 15 minute activity. It should take at least 30 minutes each for activities 2 and 3. You should not have any spare time in class.
